SUNDAY LECTURES AT THE NEW YORK THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY ARE HELD AT 3:00 PM.  THERE IS A SUGGESTED DONATION OF $10-$15.

William Patrick Patterson

In this talk, Mr. Patterson will not just talk about "the work" or the "fourth way" but will illustrate the very way in which "the work" operates.  This is spirituality in conflict, spirituality worked out in the alchemical furnace of everyday experience. The Fourth Way is not that of the ascetic, monk, or saint, but that of a person using everyday life as his or her classroom.

WILLIAM PATRICK PATTERSON is the founder/director of The Gurdjieff Studies Program, the author of Eating the "I", Struggle of the Magicians, Taking with the Left Hand, Ladies of the Rope and Voices in the Dark.  He is also the creator of the award-winning documentary trilogy- The Life and Significance of G.Il Gurdjieff.

with Georgia Jean

Georgia Jean will lead an Energetic Guided Visualization to dissolve the energetic programming that aligns you with a collective experience like a recession.  Within each of us we have a primitive mind that, for survival reasons, would rather stick with the pack even when sticking with the pack means buying into a negative experience such as a recession.  By clearing these primitive mind needs and fears you can be freed to pursue your Soul's true expression and line up with who you really are- a powerful and abundant creator under all circumstances.  This program will include a discussion around primitive mind-clearing and a powerful healing guided meditation.

GEORGIA JEAN is a Certified Sacred Energy Medicine Worker, Channel and Meditation Facilitator with over 20 years of study and training in Metaphysics, Spirituality and Healing.  You can read more about her work with The Circle of Light at www.circleevolution.com.

with Mary Ellen Korman

Mary Ellen Korman will speak about her new book, A Woman's Work with Gurdjieff, Ramana Maharshi, Krishamurti, Anandamavi Ma & Pak Subuh: The spiritual Life Journey of Ethel Merston. It is a resonant and engaging account of a spiritual seeker whose inner struggles, confusions and insights are recounted as she meets many of the key figures of her time.

MARY ELLEN KORMAN has long been interested in spiritual transformationa nd the many approaches.  She teaches a yoga of body impressions and lives in southern Pennsylvania.

with Robert Bernstein

What is "A Course in Miracles"?  What does it say?  How does it work?  What can you expect from it?  How did it come about?  We will discuss the Course from the perspective of everyday issues we all face: stress, uncertainty, anger, conflict, relationships, fear, happiness, fun, peace of mind, and so on.  We will also look at it from the perspective of what the Course calls "a journey without distance."

ROBERT BERNSTEIN is a Senior Level teacher at Integral Yoga Institute in NYC where he has taught meditation and classes on an Eastern psychological approach to living for the last ten years. He has been a Course student since 1990, has taken weekly classes in the course for seven years and has been teaching the Course for 3 years.

Several times each year Quest Bookshop holds a fundraising event for the NY Theosophical Society.  We call it our Psychic Fair.  For a $20 admission fee, you will receive two mini-readings from readers that volunteer in this endeavor.  There will be tarot card readers, palm readers, astrolgoers, numerologists, and possibly a flower reader.  All for just $20.  Please remember, all readings and consultations are for entertainment purposes only.  Join us for a day of great fun!  The Fair will begin at 10 AM and end at 6 PM, but come early so you don't miss out!
