Endless striving in our lives is a sign of a search with no end to the
journey.  Based on established branches of tradition, such as Platonism,
Traditional Alchemy, the Yogadarsana of Patanjali and Vedanta, this
series of four conversations (9/19. 10/10, 11/21 & 12/12) will focus on
the premises and development for a different type of searching.  Today's
topic: "At the Source of Life"-The font of all beatitude. The format of
these encounters is that of an open conversation, which will be enlivened
by visual aids, passages from the Traditional Texts of reference, and a
continuous question and answer session.

Both Massimo and Carlo have been following the Way for over 25 years,
and practice a discipline that also encompasses meditation.  They are
responsible for the Parmenides Traditional Philosophy Foundation, which
was establihed specifically for the purpose of making the traditional teaching
accessible.  Paramenides is based in New York City, runs a Center for
Traditional Philosophy Study and Meditation and operates Aurea Vidya,
a Publishing House which focuses on Traditional Philosophy texts in both
the Eastern and Western Traditions.

There is a lot of talk about 2012, but major planetary alignments are occurring
now that are setting the stage for a quantum shift in consciousness and the
whole period between now and 2025 is momentous in its implications.  This talk
will explore the astrological and "ray" alliances underlying this period, as well as
ancient prophecies, including the Mayan calendar and the Ageless Wisdom teachings.
As we begin to understand and work with the subjective energies conditioning outer
events, we can more effectively aid others in this process of individual and planetary
healing.

Kathy Newburn travels in the US, Europe and South America to help bring the
Ageless Wisdom to wider public attention.  Kathy worked for many years at both
the Lucis Trust and the Seven Ray Institute in New York.  She is the author of
A Planetary Awakening: Reflections on the Writings of the Tibetan in the Wokrs
of Alice A. Bailey
.  Kathy is on the faculty of the DK Academy and works with
Earth Service. www.kathynewburn.com

with Ed Abdill

Can we discover within ourselves the one source of all psychological pain?
Having discovered it, can we free ourselves of that cause?  Theosophical
literature answers yes, but merely reading the texts and remembering what
we read will not bring understanding.  Essential to understanding is direct insight,
what Blavatsky calls "spiritual intuition."  Using meditative techniques as an aid
to developing spiritual intuition, we will attempt to gain some experience of our
own immortal Self.  Moreover, we will seek out the source of our psychological
pain and learn what we can do to eradicate it.  If our search leads to new
insights, we may find that our lives gradually become more joyful and worth
living, even in their worst stages.

Ed Abdill, author of The Secret Gateway, is a former Director of the
Theosophical Society in America and past President of the
New York Theosophical Society.  He lectures for the Society
throughout the United States and internationally.
